Union's squad bring it home for the story of the real-life Homeless World Cup

The VFX team at Union certainly brought it home creating VFX work on Netflix’s The Beautiful Game.

Led by VFX Supervisor Adam Gascoyne, Unions work took the squad around the world by creating beautiful set extensions, animating football fixtures and packing out stadiums and street pitches with roaring crowds.

The Beautiful Game is the story of Mal (Bill Nighy, Living, About Time) the manager of England’s homeless football team, who is taking his players to Rome with the hope of being crowned champions of the Homeless World Cup, a global street soccer tournament.

Made with the support of the Homeless World Cup, The Beautiful Game is a film of second chances - where homeless teams from around the world find that all roads lead to Rome, and everything’s to play for.

The Beautiful Game is streaming now on Netflix
